Sandy Lewis was born in USA, lives in Barcelona and teaches with Martí in the school of Jana Grulichová Swing Maniacs. Sandy Lewis is a passionate Collegiate Shag dancer who's known internationally for her great energy and joy that follow her both on the dance floor and in the classroom. She's one of the founding members of the Barcelona Shag Society and has been active in her local dance community as well as abroad since 2012. She's a meticulous instructor that focuses on technique and style while always keeping it fun. Sandy Lewis is definitely one of the best dancers of Collegiate Shag.

About Collegiate shag

The Collegiate shag originated in the first half of the 20th century. The term collegiate was meant to indicate the style of the dance that was popular amongst the college crowd. There are many styles of shag, and collegiate shag is one of the most versatile and rhythmic. Some versions include single rhythm, double rhythm and triple rhythm shag - some of which you will be learning in class with Sandy. It can be danced energetically to fast music, or in a more relaxed style to slower rhythms. Your imagination is the limit.
